Our trademark is Anne de Kyiv - also called Agnes, is a Kievian princess, the daughter of Yaroslav the Wise, Grand Prince of Kyiv, and his wife, Ingegerd of Sweden. She was born in Kyiv around 1024, had received a careful education and in addition to her native Swedish, knew Old Slavonic, Latin, Greek, and French.
Wife of Henry I, King of the Franks, she was Queen of the Franks from 1051 to 1060 and mother of King Philip I.
Anne de Kyiv influenced the domestic and foreign policy of the kingdom of Franks, together with her son signed state acts and corresponded with the Holy See. Thus in the famous letter of Pope Nicholas II (1059), he emphasizes her piety and generosity to the Catholic Church.
